Why does my citation not appear in the ePay system?
A: It could take a few business days before the citation is submitted by the officer to the office of circuit court clerk and for it to be entered into the ePay system. Also, the citation will not appear in the ePay system if the scheduled court date has already occurred. Please contact the office of circuit clerk listed on your citation concerning your payment options.
What if the payment amount online does not match the amount on the citation?
A: You may elect to pay the amount listed on this screen. Otherwise, contact the Office of Circuit Court Clerk in the county listed on your citation.
What if a county does not accept online payment?
A: Please follow the directions on the Prepayable Offenses Instruction Sheet.
Will someone from the court system ever contact me and ask for payment?
A: No one from the court system will ever contact you and ask for payment or credit card information.
Is there a convenience fee to pay by credit card?
A: A 3% convenience fee is assessed by the credit card vendor for each transaction.
Can I pay any type of court fee or fines online?
A: Currently only fines for citations that have prepayable offenses can be paid online.
When is the deadline to make this payment?
A: To pay online, you must make a payment four business days before your court date, which can be found on your citation.
What type of payment is accepted?
A: American Express, Discover, MasterCard and Visa credit cards and most debit cards.
Why does the payment amount online require $1 more than the amount on my citation?
A: You received a citation in a county authorized to collect an additional $1 in court costs to fund a Crime Stoppers program pursuant to KRS 431.597. Your citation did not note the $1 fee because it is not assessed statewide, but each person receiving a citation in these counties must pay it.
Can I prepay the fine for an alcohol intoxication citation online?
A: No. Due to a potential bond and arrest fee, please contact the Office of Circuit Court Clerk in the county listed on your citation.
Why does my case still show up in the search results after I have paid online?
A: It takes up to three business days for your case to be processed and removed from the search results. Please check back online after three business days.
