​The Office of Communications is responsible for producing high-quality communications that help the public better understand and use the resources provided by the Kentucky Court of Justice.

The full-service communications office writes and distributes news releases on behalf of the court system. It also provides writing, editing, graphic design, photograp​hy and videography services, as well as support for court-related events such as judicial colleges. In addition, the office coordinates print production for publications and stationery.

On the digital front, the office creates and manages content for the KCOJ website, as well as social media content for the branch's Facebook, X (formerly Twitter) and LinkedIn pages. It also curates a library of more than 100 videos on the KCOJ YouTube channel.

The office responds to media inquiries directed to the Administrative Office of the Courts and serves in an advisory capacity for justices, judges and circuit court clerks who request assistance with media relations.​

Commenting on Cases​

The elected justices, judges and circuit court clerks of the Kentucky Court of Justice and Administrative Office of the Courts personnel do n​ot provide legal advice or give statements about pending or impending legal matters. Kentucky justices and judges are prohibited from making any public or nonpublic statement on cases under the Kentucky Code of Judicial Conduct, while circuit court clerks are governed by the Code of Conduct for Circuit Court Clerks. Kentucky Court of Justice and Administrative Office of the Courts personnel are directed not to comment on pending cases by the KCOJ Personnel Policies. ​
