The Division of Court Security conducts security assessments on all facilities owned, leased and occupied by the Kentucky Court of Justice. The division also installs and maintains security devices in court facilities and provides security services for the Supreme Court, Court of Appeals and the Administrative Office of the Courts.
Court security coordinators conduct trainings for court security officers and sheriffs’ deputies who provide security in court facilities statewide and serve as the liaison between courts and the local sheriff’s office. They also assist sheriffs’ offices in preparing for high-risk trials.
