Jury Text Notifications

Jurors in some counties can sign up to receive service updates by text.

The text notifications are courtesy reminders. If for any reason jurors do not receive the text, they are still responsible for checking the telephone answering service or local juror website for jury messages, as instructed by the county. Jurors will automatically be removed from the text notification system when their jury service term ends.

The Kentucky Court of Justice does not charge jurors to use the notification service. However, depending on the phone carrier, standard text rates may apply. The Kentucky Court of Justice cannot guarantee all phone carriers are compatible with the text notification service.

To see if your county is participating, choose your county from the drop-down menu here. For a guide on how to register for text notifications, click here.

Protect Yourself Against Jury Scams

Please be on alert for jury scams, including those involving calls from people claiming to be court officials or law enforcement officers.

The Kentucky Court of Justice personnel will never ask for payment, a credit card number or Social Security number for failure to appear for jury service. DO NOT provide your bank or credit card information over the phone to anyone claiming to be associated with the court system’s jury program.

If you receive a suspicious call, email or other communication from someone who claims to be a court employee and requests financial information, contact your local jury office and local law enforcement immediately.
