FRANKFORT, Ky. Aug. 26, 2025 – Franklin County court operations will return to their home at the Franklin County Courthouse on Tuesday, Sept. 2, after being housed in temporary locations since early April due to catastrophic flooding from heavy rainfall.
To prepare for the move, the Franklin County Office of Circuit Court Clerk’s temporary office at the Administrative Office of the Courts, 1001 Vandalay Drive, will be closed to in-person business Friday. The office will reopen to the public Tuesday at the courthouse.
The courthouse is located at 222 St. Clair St. in Frankfort. Flood remediation is ongoing, but the building is ready for business. View Franklin County Chief Circuit Judge Thomas D. Wingate’s order to reopen at kcoj.info/Order25118.
