NEWS RELEASE
FRANKFORT, Ky., Feb. 17, 2026 – Those with court business in Oldham County will soon be carrying it out in a state-of-the-art facility that blends the new and historic. Construction on the Oldham County Judicial Center was completed in January, and the building will open to the public Monday, March 2.
The temporary courthouse at 6822 Central Ave. in Crestwood will be closed Feb. 23-27 while court operations are moved to the judicial center. Court proceedings and other functions, including those in the Oldham County Office of Circuit Court Clerk, will be suspended until the opening.
Located at 100 W. Main St. in LaGrange, the Oldham County Judicial Center incorporates approximately 50,000 square feet of additional space with the existing 19th century historic brick courthouse and increases security. The historic structure, which is 6,300 square feet, was raised and moved to rebuild its foundation and place it centered in front of the addition. All local court operations will be housed in the two-story facility.
Once the judicial center opens, court schedules and phone numbers will remain the same as those at the temporary location. More information is available at https://kcoj.info/Oldham.
A dedication ceremony for the courthouse will take place Thursday, April 30.
